I LOVE your site!!! I teach Fashion Design and what a wonderful site to share with my friends and students. Curvy girls unite!!! Thanks for the encouragement!
I tried searching it but this seems to be an older picture of Ashley Graham, and I don’t know what brand she’s modeling so sorry, but you can find similar items at city chic online or domino dollhouse. They have great lingerie for our sizes good luck!
Eves
hi! i just happened to come across your site && i love it.
i was wondering if you’ve seen the show on MTV chelsea settles…
anyways i thought i would seek your advice. I was wondering if you knew of any places that carry short jean jacket or faux leather jackets plus size.
I came to your blog randomly and I really enjoyed the surprise! I am a Curvy french singer and, even though I have to loose weight for my health I don’t want to become skinny or give up my curves! Keep going, you are wonderful and very smart!
Hello I luv your blog and all style choices but I’m on the larger end. I’m a size 24 and find it harder to pull of some of the latest trends, I luv shopping and going out with friends and dating. What advice could you give me on trying some of the latest trends???
Thanks,
Mrs. Rattray
My best advice is be patient, go to different sites that cater to your size and look around. Even if you don’t purchase something or don’t find it in your size, you can at least get an idea of what you like. Visit the stores that carry your size and try things on, take pics to compare for later and see what you feel comfortable in and what makes you feel good when you wear it. Purchase just a few basic pieces that flatter you and never go out of style, then accessorize and dress them up with earrings, bold bracelets and scarves.
Don’t worry so much about the “latest trends” and just wear what you like and what makes you feel good, which will bring out your beauty
Try Lane Bryant – they have really trendy clothing in their stores and go to a size 26 and Jessica London online has some cute clothing also.
Although I love what you’re doing and agree with most things that go against the whole brain-washing, cult-like ‘perfect beauty’ media shit I want to warn you not to hate on skinnier girls too much. Skinnier girls can get heaps of shit for things like ‘having no curves’ ‘not being sexy and shapely’ ‘not being a real woman’ etc. too. I think all of us want to lean towards a movement more for women AS A WHOLE against the unfair ideas of perfect beauty as being very skinny with hourglass curves- rather than just standing up for own our body types against other girls and hating on each other rather than the main thing that causes these problems. We want to embrace ideas of all kinds of natural body types being beautiful. Bigger does not mean fat, un-fit, ugly. Skinny does not mean curveless, unsexy, boyish, anorexic. Skinny with big boobs/bum should not be hated on either or called slutty. And bigger girls who happen to have hardly any boobs/bum despite being bigger should not be condemned as ugly or ‘not having any good assets’.
Thanks for your input, I really hope that I haven’t come across that way. I’ve made an effort to talk about loving oneself and being confident regardless of size. I would never bash a skinny or non-curvy girl, ever! As a mom to a very tall and thin teenager, I would never want her to feel that she’s anything but amazing and beautiful just the way she is.
I do, however, write from my perspective and my experiences, and the fact is I’m plus sized, have always been plus sized, and have felt society’s negativity towards me because of my size, which is part of why I started CGR. So the tone of the blog is from a bigger girl’s point of view.
Again, thanks for the input and thanks for visiting!
Hey, I’m a young teenager who came across this blog. Can you tell me what kind of clothes I can wear for my body type? I have a nasty roll of fat right ontop of my waist, and it makes jeans an impossibility. I also have big thighs butt a tiny small butt. (I guess I’m not a curvy girl, just oddly shaped)This also makes jeans impossible. Help? I’d really appreciate it, because I’m tired of wearing big teeshirts and baggy long jeans that don’t fit to school.
Thanks!
P.S. the clothes have to be affordable!!
Sorry for the late response, but I’ve actually been thinking alot about what advice to give. Not knowing your personal style, I can only tell you what I would wear if I had your body type.
I love long maxi dresses, or shorter dresses with thick tights when it gets colder, depending on the weather where you live. The shorter dresses would be ideal with a flowy skirt, nothing too tight. Here are some that I would wear:
Thank you for making this. all the models look beautiful and it is just nice to know that curvy girls are accepted now. I stopped calling myself fat and started with calling myself curvy. I want to be an healthy person, but most of all I want to love myself and my body. I love clothes and fashion, and its good to see I can enjoy fashion even though I don’t have size zero. Thank you for this positive note in a (sometimes) negative world!
I am a Dutch girl who recently started a blog about curves, women and body images but most of al, about living life to the fullest. I really think that blogs like yours do so much good for all women no matter what size! Whenever I feel down about my body (which is a size 12/14) I look up pictures of fuller women and models, and that’s how I found your blog. And I just had to say: It’s amazing! Creating my own blog, but also reading other blogs about this topic really gave my self esteem a big boost. I follow your blog on bloglovin’ and I am really excited about what’s next!
Love this blog and I love all of you curvy hotties!!! Maybe one day I will get up the courage to do a pin-up session. There is a photography studio near me that does them quite frequently and I would love it…But, I do have to consider kids’ portraits before I spend the money! LOL
Anyway, thanks for sharing your beautiful curves! I’ll be back!

Tights in different colors would look really cute, and also smooth out the tummy area. We Love Colors has a great plus size tights selection – http://www.welovecolors.com/Shop/PlusSizedHosiery.htm
Hope this helps, take care!
